Dear residents and dear staff of the „Ijamido Children’s home“,
We wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!
It has been a challenging year 2021 for the whole world. Corona brought a lot of disorder and insecurity for so many people in so many countries. We are so sorry about that.
For us, in our „eine-Welt-Gruppe“ (One-World-Group), this meant that our support activities could not take place in the normal way. But as we are quite creative, we found solutions.
And we are very happy that we can transfer a considerable sum of money to you this year. But we have to explain, that a big part of it is possible thanks of a big order of fairtrade products by our municipal administration. We are very pleased about that.
Until now, we sold our fairtrade products on the Saturday market or in occasion of different events of the churches or in the village.
But we have a project for next year: we hope to move to a permanent selling point with all our products and to be able to open the „shop“ once a week. We hope to find enough volunteers to realize the project.
„Grandma“ Irmgard told us that several children succeeded in studying at the university. That’s great. They can be proud !!
We hope to be able to support many of your projects and daily requirements also in 2022
